Gamespot's Training and Customization Mode Preview
Gamespot's Maxwell McGee and Sega's Patrick Riley went over the various features in training mode. This includes the tutorial, record function, frame data, and command/combo training.
Near the end of the video, they also covered the customization mode. This would be the first video in English to show off the customization mode in detail. So go check out the youtube video!
Once again, thanks to VFDC for finding this one. Seriously, if you don't have a VFDC account and you are a regular here you don't know what you're missing.
PS: The VF4 Evo menu/customization theme is back!
VF5FS Item Win Poses Compilation by LadyVF (Arcade)
The recent VF5FS console release announcement coincided with a compilation video of arcade VF5FS special victory item win poses made by LadyVF. It is unclear if any of the 6 special win poses per character will be in the console version; however, they are fairly amusing to watch and also shows the variety of customization one can achieve with the 19 characters! Also, check out LadyVF's Blog (Japanese) for even more character customization that mimics characters from other games, movies, or cartoons.
Special thanks to VFDC for finding this one.

Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown Contest – Name Your Opponent!
The fine folks over at Sega recently sent us some information on a cool new contest they’re working on for their loyal Virtua Fighter fans. All you have to do is come up with a name for one of the random enemies that appear in Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown’s single-player mode and their tagline before battle, as well as the preferred character you would like them to go up against.
This is a fun way to get your name or the name of someone you know in the game if it’s chosen by the developers as one of their favorites. The official blog post has all the rules and regulations you need to know to enter, but be quick, because the deadline is next Tuesday, January 31st.

2 Hours of VF5FS Battles - "God of Thunder" Ranking Battle
You have probably already seen this on VFDC, but just in case you haven't here are two hours worth of VF5FS Matches.
As quoted from Myke
As quoted from Myke
"Watch some legends go toe-to-toe in an epic battle for the highest rank -- the God of Thunder!
At the conclusion of last week's VFR Bay Area Cup 2011 3-on-3 Tournament, Fuudo (SH) and Itoshun (BR) lock horns in a fierce ranking battle. They literally go back and forth for 1 hour and 40 minutes of the video. But then, someone eventually gets demoted and the likes of Yuutenji (LA), and Homestay (AK) step in to put an end to the winner's progress, and perhaps, use them as a stepping stone."

Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown: Version A Announced!
SEGA has just announced Final Showdown Version A at the AOU show yesterday. Not much appears to be different in game and I cannot read the Japanese subtitles. I assume there will be buffs, nerfs, tweaks and... what the?! Playable Dural!?! Holy crap!

Final Showdown Trademark Registered for Consoles
2010-056172 FINAL SHOWDOWN
Is this a sign that Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is, finally, heading to consoles? Or, is this a totally new IP which coincidentally shares the same name as the latest VF5 release? Will there be further news at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show?
Time will only tell...
