We got a problem with the blog design.

It would seem with blogger's new design update that our current design isn't compatible, hence why everything is so... red. Though the timing couldn't have been better, with Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown around the corner I think this blog needed a update from the VF5R inspired design. Expect a new design soon, although with Kaamage's new Virtua Movie Database this blog may now be rendered useless.

VF5R for console Campaign Part 2

As most of you know, a man from from VFDC known as Kamaage has met with some Sega reps in person and, among other things, handed to them a bundle of printed letters from all of us asking for a home port of VF5R.

Here was what he said.

Hi, All.
Let me update what happened today in Sega.

I met one Sega guy who is in quite responsible position.
He was very impressed with the formal proposal. I told him
how much you guys love VF and how much VF5R is wanted in all over the world. He promised me to send it to development team.

BUT the stroy continues. He said "I will pass to development team" and I asked him "Is it possible to give directly to Presidentof Sega?" That way, I thought we can have the maximum output.

I asked him Can I do it? He said "Yes I can pass this to the President" so its possible. but If you guys want, I will try mybest to negotiate and pass it from me to the President of Sega.

But Being Honest document was great but the Sega guy and I agreed on one point. its not quite enough. I do not think President will read the whole document neither japanese or english. What we need is "number of pages".

He said it will be very powerful if we can have 5times more(which is 500pages..) and I think so too.

There are two options.
1: Document is passed to development team. We wait for output.
2: We make 5times more and I will pass it to the president face to face.

I do feel the same with you guys. Making number of pages sounds bit rediculous and it might not be successful at all. Actually we did really good job here and we can stop here.

If you can decide to go on, then I will start to get the formal proposal of japanese version too.

So please dicuss and decide what to do.

The result was an amazing 100 pages... however he wants to meet with the president of Sega with 500 pages of fan requests for VF5R! Getting 500 pages of VF5R Fan requests should be easy, that is if everyone does their part and helps out. If you want VF5R to hit home consoles please help us by posting a message to Sega in this thread about why you want VF5R on console.

It's so simple everyone! If you like Virtua Fighter, please click that link and write a quick letter to Sega in that thread. Or a very long one. This may be the closest we'll get to contacting Sega of Japan! Spread the word to everyone you know! It doesn't matter what language you speak whether it be Japanese, French, Spanish, Russian, Mexican, Canadian, Australian, German or whatever, we need as many messages as possible.

New Layout Get!

That's right we got new layout! This one is more VF5R themed, sporting the red and black that VF5R has in it's website design. Now be patient with me while I try to get everything up and running again. Hopefully this will be our last major visual change for a while.

Hang tight while I update the Dojo

You may have noticed the new banner up at the top of the blog. What does this mean? Nothing much honestly. I just plan to update the look of the blog and hopefully make it easier to browse through. Oh by the way I'm still looking for more VF writers if any of you would like to contribute to the blog then send me an email at sonictrue@yahoo.com

Also I'm going to start writing little rambles and community inspired blog posts now besides just posting VF5R videos off of youtube. Hope you all enjoy what comes next.

This Week in Comments on the Virtua Dojo Blog!

This idea was not stolen from Kotaku.. I "borrowed" it.

Well we only had one comment this month from "Anonymous" on the VF5R Article.

I think we'll see it eventually. Maybe not this year, but next year for sure.

What console it'll be on, and if it'll be released in the US, on the other hand, is another story. I hope that at the least, there's a Japanese PS3 release (that way it can be imported and played on a US PS3).

Thanks for showing you care Mr. Anonymous.

Apologies for my Absence

Its been a busy week for me and without any other writers on this blog we kinda had a week of nothing. This brings me to the next topic...

According to our latest poll it seems the majority of you who read this blog (and voted) prefer that VF5 R come out on all consoles rather than be exclusive to one system.

And it also shows that you could all care less whether Wii owners get a chance to experience any VF-goodness in the future.

Xbox 360!! We need it! - 4 votes
Wii! Wheres the Nintendo Love? - 0 votes

New Layout GET

Ok so the layout isn't new but the coloring has been adjusted from dull red on grey to a more suitable dark grey on grey scheme. Also we finally lost the dull red banner to a more edgy "harder to read the blog description text" picture of the Dojo in VF5. Hope you guys like the layout update, and if you don't you know... maybe leave a comment or two if you visit us daily and give some feedback... please?

According to our polls... Jean > Taka > Your Favorite Character

According to our latest poll it seems all of you who read this blog (and voted) prefer Jean (formerly known as Karateka) to the returning Taka and even the character you play now!

Of course it could be all the hype for new blood but what about Taka? Oh and for that guy who doesn't know what VF5 R is... check the side of this blog and click on the keyword "Virtua Fighter 5 R"

Poll Results...
Taka - 6 votes
Jean - 7 votes
I'll stick to [insert character here] - 2 votes
I still don't know what VF5 R is... - 1 vote

A few days ago I began posting all the VF3 sounds I could find on youtube. No they won't be available for you to listen and/or download here... at least not for a while.

No El Blaze in the Virtua Dojo Polls?

Yes I just realized that El Blaze is missing from the "Which VF Character is your favorite" poll. No I can't add him in now, but I can give El Blaze fans some videos of the masked Lucha Libre.

Whats your favorite VF? Poll Results

Well we had a 3 week long poll which asked the question "Which VF is your favorite?". Well all 19 of you voted and the results are in...

2. Virtua Fighter 3/Virtua Fighter 4 Evo (3 votes)
3. Virtua Fighter/Virtua Fighter Kids (1 votes)
