Today Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown launches in Japanese Arcades. Sega's Official Virtua Fighter Website has now been updated from the R Layout and also has Final Showdown Wallpapers for you to download. While we all hold our breaths for a console port we can expect an onslaught of new videos to ogle over soon.

Virtua Fighter 5R ver. C out in Japan

The newest version of Virtua Fighter 5R came out in Japanese arcades Novemeber 25th. Unlike some previous revisions this doesn't have any balance changes but adds many other features and costume items among them are team items.

Japanese arcades - New Items Get!

*sigh* Look at all those beautiful costume items... I used to get angry when I saw them but now I get excited every time I see them. With every new item added (and there have been ALOT since the PS3 and 360 version release). The more items we will have to use when/if the game gets released on console. Keep it up AM2! I expect all these and more in the console port!

More Items for Japan? No way!

I know... I know... surely this can't be another update on Japanese only items in arcades? Well believe it readers! This time they seem to have anime dolls you can put on your character, and they cheer and possibly sing for you too. My Japanese isn't too good but I assume these characters are very popular in Japan... They have their own site.

Virtua Fighter 5 R Coming to Arcades Soon?

On the official Japanese Virtua Fighter Site they have posted up what appears to be info on the upcoming Virtua Fighter 5 R. There also appears to be a new orb system as shown in these screenshots, if your like me your just dying to see VF5R in action but for now these screens will have to do for now.

Japan loves new items!

Without fail Japan gets more items than we can ever imagine. This time the outfits are very colorful... When and if we get VF5R lets hope they jam pack all these costume colors in that disc.
