We (as in everyone who doesn't live in Japan) have been forced to sit on the sidelines and endure countless news, videos and images of the unattainable and highly lusted for VF5R. Now I've been doing some thinking after playing another fighter called BlazBlue which I'm sure most of you have heard of but for those of you that don't know...

BlazBlue is a fighting game devolped Arc System Works (Yes the same people who made Guilty Gear) and has been well received by not only reviewers but to newcomers as well. Now I'm not too informed on how this game came into development but I heard it was because the makers wanted to take a break from the Guilty Gear series.
Should Sega take a leaf from Arc System works and take a break from VF? Maybe develop another fighting game series with fresh new characters and a new engine loosely based on VF? I know a game like that already exists (Fighting Vipers) but the series has not seen a sequel since 1998. Perhaps Sega could try their hand at a 2D fighter? Call it RadRed or GooGreen?
